Hello, neighbor

Welcome to Bushrod.

Craftsman porches, century-old street trees, a ten-acre park where baseball legends learned the game, and some of the best pie in the East Bay. This is a neighbor-run guide to living in — and loving — Bushrod.

A park left to the city, forever.

In 1903 Dr. Bushrod Washington James gave the land that became Bushrod Park, on the promise it would stay a public park. More than a century on, it’s still the neighborhood’s backyard.
